Founder, St Johns Convent Sr Sec School
” I once had a dream that I refused to let go of; with constant efforts, it evolved into my NORTH STAR_ a long-term vision whose fruitful outcomes are today evident to everyone.” At the embryonic stage of my dream, I worked tirelessly for my goal. I never imagined that this tree would blossom so beautifully. I have always chosen to learn from my mistakes rather than letting the judgments of others weigh me down.
I feel profoundly vindicated to trust my own path over the scepticism of others. What use of knowledge if it is not paired with the values, ethics and integrity? At ST JOHNS, I’ve tried to build not just a building, but a family_ where values are not just written on the walls but something that we breathe, live and pass on to our students every single day. Therefore, today my heart beams with pride because our children are the distilled essence of the constant efforts of more than two decades.
Indeed, it has not been an easy journey, because throughout this journey, some moments were a botch, and others were impeccable; some days were like quivering cold, but constant efforts made it spring. I will continue to achieve new milestones and carry this legacy forward to future generations. This journey would have been impossible without the support of my FAMILY and the COMMUNITY of ST JOHNS. Wholesomely, I will conclude that “ST JOHNS is not merely a ‘brick and mortar’, but it’s the ‘very fabric’ of my life.”

The Foundation of St Johns
Our dream didn’t start with a grand building or a fancy plan. It began in 1996 with one man who had a dream—Shri G.R. Pant. He believed that a school could be so much more than just a place for excelling in academics, but he imagined something different.
Where discipline wasn’t about rules but about helping children grow into people of integrity, people who would one day lead with kindness and stand with confidence. And so, brick by brick, value by value, he built that school, laying the cornerstone of a legacy that would stand the test of time.
In those nascent years, he believed that he carried everything forward. He wanted classrooms where curiosity was met with a smile, where they learn how to stand up for what’s right, work towards goals that raise the collective consciousness of humanity, and stay motivated to grab all the opportunities. Same qualities we seek in our staff who are always ready to learn, to devote their valuable time and to consider their profession more than a job.
Now, more than two decades later, the vision of an individual is nourishing thousands of lives. The seeds he planted have grown into mighty trees, their branches sheltering generations of young learners. Yes, the school has grown; there are more students now, more classrooms and more milestones. As we move forward, carrying our legacy of integrity, value-based education and excellence that began in 1996 continues to inspire generations.
