Introduction to Academics

Welcome to a new school year! You have joined an extraordinary learning community where our teachers, students & staff are actively engaged in making excellence happen everyday. We look forward to a wonderful school year ahead!

With a view to expand the learning horizons of the students following approaches shall be into practise throughout the year :

SUB: ENGLISH, HINDI, SCIENCE, SST.

  • SYNTHESIS
  • EVALUATION
  • ANALYSIS
  • APPLICATION
  • COMPREHENSION
  • KNOWLEDGE

“Our questions shall be based on these six learning stages that show the shift from lower order thinking skills (I.E knowledge) to higher order thinking skills (I.E. Synthesis) within a student”

OBJECTIVE:

Unlike regular questions which try to find how much a child knows, questions based on these levels shall measure how well a child has understood concepts.

NOTE:
In class 2nd the above objectives shall be met by in-class discussions and activities with the students.

SUB: MATHS

OPEN - ENDED MATHS QUESTIONS

(CL-3RD TO 8TH )

“With each chapter open ended questions shall be practiced. Open ended questions are the questions that are solvable in a variety of ways by using different processes or strategies”

  • There is no fixed answer (many possible answers) to such questions.
  • Can be solved in different ways and on different levels (accessible to mixed abilities).

OBJECTIVE:

  • Empowers students to make their own mathematical decisions and make room for their own mathematical thinking.
  • Develops reasoning and communication skills.

VEDIC MATHS BY MR NEERAJ KUMAR JHA

(CL-5TH TO 8TH )

Based on the sixteen sutras, vedic maths is practically the only magical principle you need to tackle anything from simple arithmetic to algebra, algorithms, square roots, cube roots and many more mathematical concepts.

OBJECTIVE:

Enables the student to calculate much faster compared to the conventional system and thus prepares students for competitive exams.

FINANCIAL LITERACY/EDUCATION

(CL-6TH TO 8TH )

Financial literacy is the ability to understand how money works in the world: how someone manages to earn or make it, how that person manages it, how he/she invests it (turn it into more) and how that person donates it to help others.

The project will also teach students financial management - learning to save well, setting life goals and entrepreneurship.
